What does it do?
It shrinks your picture to a grid of stitches, finds the closest DMC thread for each colour, and draws the chart with a different symbol per thread, grid lines every 10, a thread list with stitch counts, and a PDF that fits whole squares on every page.
Is my picture uploaded?
No. The picture is read and turned into a chart inside your browser. We keep an anonymous count of page views and free uses, with no cookies or ids. Payment goes through Stripe.
How should I pick the width and colours?
On 14-count Aida, 50 stitches is about 3.6 inches across; 100 stitches is about 7 inches. Fewer colours means fewer skeins and a flatter, more graphic look. Photos usually want 15 to 30; drawings and logos 4 to 10.
What can I do with the project file?
Save project downloads a small JSON file with the grid and thread codes. Open it later to carry on, including your ticked-off stitches.
Can I get a refund?
Digital goods: access starts straight away, so the 14-day cancellation right ends once you start using it. If something is broken, email business@thatched.ai.
Which browsers and devices?
Any recent browser on a phone, tablet or computer. It needs JavaScript; no internet connection is needed once the page has loaded.
