Muffle A mute button for your feed

Turn college football down to a whisper.

Pick what you never want to see: game day, final scores, last night's finale, the election. Muffle builds a small userscript that folds matching posts on Bluesky, X, Reddit and Mastodon into a single line. Tap the line if you change your mind.

This is the same code the script runs. Change your list below and the feed follows.

Your mute list

1. Start from a pack

One per line. Words, phrases and #hashtags match whole words, any case. A line like /\b\d+-\d+ final\b/ is a pattern. Press / to jump here.

0 entries

3. Sites

Muffle reads post text only (not images, names or links) and only in a web browser. Phone apps are out of its reach.

4. Get the script

Ctrl Enter

  1. Add Tampermonkey or Violentmonkey to Chrome, Firefox, Edge or Safari.
  2. Open the downloaded muffle.user.js, or paste the copied text into a new script, and save.
  3. Reload your feed. A small pill in the corner counts what it hid. Alt Shift M pauses it.

The full version

FAQ

What does the £3.00 buy?

One payment, no subscription. It removes the 20-entry cap and the 3-build free try, so every pack and every word you add goes into your script, plus new packs as they arrive. It works in this browser and two more through "Restore".

Where is my list kept, and what leaves my browser?

Your list stays in this browser's storage, and the script it builds sends nothing anywhere. The only things that talk to a server are the payment check (Stripe, through our small verifier) and an anonymous page-view count.

Which browsers work?

Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Safari on a computer, with Tampermonkey or Violentmonkey installed. It works on the Bluesky, X, Reddit and Mastodon websites, not inside their phone apps.

Can I get a refund?

You get access straight away, so the 14-day cancellation right ends once you start using it. If it does not work for you, email business@thatched.ai and we will sort it out.
