Records
Backup and restore
Your records live only in this browser
Beatbook has no account and no cloud copy. Clearing browser data, using private mode, or losing this device deletes the records. Download a backup file at the end of every shift and keep it somewhere safe.
Download backup
Restore from a file
Pick a Beatbook backup (.json). Merge keeps what is here and adds the rest.
Company name on printed reports
Paid version: your company name heads every PDF and print-out.
FAQ
What does the £9.00 buy?
A one-off payment (no subscription) unlocks the whole app in this browser: unlimited incident reports and shift logs, and your company name at the top of every PDF and print-out. The free try covers your first 3 records. One purchase works in up to 3 browsers; use "Restore" on another device.
Where is my data kept? Does anything leave my browser?
Your reports, logs and photos stay in this browser's own storage on this device. They are never uploaded and there is no cloud copy, so download a backup file now and then. The only things that go over the network are the payment check with Stripe (through our small verifier) and an anonymous page-view count.
Which browsers work?
Current Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari on phones, tablets and computers. Private or incognito windows may throw your records away when they close, so use a normal window.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. If it does not work for you, email business@thatched.ai within 14 days of paying and we will refund you.
Not a police case system. Beatbook is a note-keeping aid. Records made here have no legal or evidential status by themselves; follow your employer's and local reporting rules. Nothing is sent anywhere and there is no cloud copy.
